Financial Aid at St. Philip & St. Augustine Catholic Academy
We believe every family deserves access to a quality Catholic education. That’s why we encourage all families—new and returning—to apply for Financial Aid.
To be eligible for any form of financial assistance or scholarship, families must apply through FACTS. Please note that each student may receive support from only one funding source.

ACE Scholarships
St. Philp & St. Augustine Catholic Academy has partnered with ACE Scholarships to provide scholarships to families seeking admission to Catholic Schools. ACE scholarships are completely need-based and, once approved, a student’s scholarship can be renewed each year through 12th grade at any private school. To be eligible for an ACE scholarship, families must qualify for the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch Program.
Diocesan Assistance
The Diocese of Dallas Catholic Schools Office provides tuition assistance to parents who desire to educate their children in a Catholic elementary and/or secondary school in the Diocese of Dallas. The funds are limited and are only available to families with demonstrated financial need.
Jethsuby Scholarship
The Catholic Foundation is now accepting scholarship applications for The Jethsuby Scholarship Fund for the 2026-2027 school year. The fund will provide scholarships of up to 50% of the in-parish tuition rate, depending on financial need, to Hispanic students attending or planning to attend a Catholic elementary school in the Diocese of Dallas.
Eligibility requirements for the award include:
Hispanic ethnicity and at least one parent must have been born outside the United States
For students entering 1st thru 8th grade
Excellent academic performance.
Demonstrable financial need. (FACTS)
The student is not receiving financial aid from any other source, such as a diocesan scholarship, or a parish/staff tuition discount.
Documentation needed:
School transcript.
Principal/Teacher recommendation letter.
Parish pastor’s recommendation.
FACTS application submitted via the Diocese by February 20th.
Finalists for the awards will be determined by a scholarship selection committee. These students and their parents will then interview with a representative of the Jethsuby Scholarship Fund for final recommendation. It is the intention of the Jethsuby Scholarship Fund to support a student as long as he or she qualifies for the award. If one of your students is currently receiving a Jethsuby Scholarship and continues to meet the above requirements, then please nominate that student and have them complete an application along with your additional nominations.
We encourage you to submit the name(s) of a student for this award by asking the parents of the scholarship candidate to downloaded the scholarship application in English or Spanish from the Fund’s website: www.jethsuby.org . (Hard copies of application is also attached to this email).
Once the application is completed, the applicant’s family will need to send it with the required documentation to The Jethsuby Scholarship Fund at The Catholic Foundation, 12222 Merit Drive, Suite 850, Dallas, Texas, 75251, or via fax 972-661-0140 or email lscheets@catholicfoundation.com.
Applications should be received no later than Monday, February 23, 2026 so that the scholarship committee will have time to evaluate the recommendations and notify you and the student of the award.

Schoellkopf Scholarship
The Schoellkopf Scholarship was established in 2021 to support the ambitions of promising students. Our vision is to change the world one student at a time by eliminating financial barriers to a quality education. This scholarship provides scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $3,000 and is available to students in 4th-8th grades.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Demonstrates financial need (FACTS)
- Submit answers to essay questions
- Obtain a teacher recommendation

SPSA Catholic Academy Scholarship
These scholarships support families in the St. Philip the Apostle Catholic community who need financial assistance to send their children to St. Philp & St. Augustine Catholic Academy. There is one scholarship allowed per family. In addition, a recommendation letter from the Pastor or teacher which demonstrates the family’s dedication to Catholic education is required. The scholarships will cover up to 80% of the tuition for the student. Once approved, a student’s scholarship can be renewed through 8th grade.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Demonstrates financial need (FACTS)
- Meets the school’s entrance requirements
- Be accepted and enrolled in grades K-8
- Be current on all financial obligations to St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church and SPSA Catholic Academy
- Be an active, registered parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church for 3 months
- Meet school attendance requirements
Documentation Needed: - Current Report Card and/or Current Progress Report
- Pastor/Teacher recommendation letter
- FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment application
- Scholarship application (see attached)
The scholarships will be determined by the scholarship selection committee.
SPSA scholarship application deadline is Feb. 28th.
